Riverside Methodist Hospital - Acrylic Tubs Damaged During Construction
The Property Riverside Hospital in Columbus, Ohio September 2003
The Problem
During construction of new wing in hospital damage occurred to over 30 Aquabath barrier-free tub/showers. The damage to these acrylic units included cracks, scratches, burn marks, incorrect drilling of faucet holes and incorrect cutouts for light fixtures in the top of the units.
The Solution
The construction company called Miracle Method of Columbus and did a walk through to evaluate the necessary repairs. Using established techniques and processes, the Miracle Method team repaired all cracks, scratches, and burn marks and refinished the surfaces. Concerning the incorrect holes, a new template was devised, so the MM team was able to replace, patch and repair each unit to hold the correct lighting and plumbing fixtures. All repairs were made and approved by the construction company and the hospital.
The Result
The construction company was able to have each unit repaired to the satisfaction of the hospital and not a single unit was replaced. Miracle Method of Columbus is now an authorized service representative for Aquabath.
