Ohio State University - Tubs in Residence Halls Needed Help After Previous Refinishing Job Failed
The Property
Ohio State University Neilwood Gables Residential Hall, Columbus, Ohio August 2004.
The Problem
48 bathtubs in a residence hall, refinished by another vendor, failed in less than 3 years. Unhappy with the lack of durability, Ohio State Facilities Management researched the refinishing process and contacted Miracle Method. They needed a finish that would last and take abuse. They also needed to have the tubs ready before students returned in 30 days.
The Solution
Miracle Method of Columbus refinished one tub for free to demonstrate the difference in refinishing processes and the end result when a tub is properly refinished. The university accepted the sample and contracted Miracle Method to complete the remaining 47 defective tubs.
The Process
All the tubs were stripped of their defective coatings, refinished, detailed, slip resistant surfaces applied and recaulked.
The Result
All the bathtubs were completed on schedule and Miracle Method of Columbus is now a preferred vendor for repair and refinishing at Ohio State University.
Note
Not all refinishing is the same. Miracle Method’s step-by-step process that includes a complete cleaning and exclusive use of MM-4, an acid free bonding agent, multiple coats and polishing assures commercial customers of the highest gloss and durability. No other company can match Miracle Method’s total process and end results.
