Milwaukee Hilton and Squishy Tub Liners

Many of the hotel’s bathtubs were worn-out and discolored. The decision was made to have bathtub liners installed in approximately 500 units. Unfortunately, within just 2 years most of the liners had failed meaning water had leaked in between the tub and the liner. The result was an unacceptable “squishy” feel for guests.

The Sainte Claire

Poorly Refinished Bathtubs Restored Without Disruption to Hotel Guests

Larkspur Hospitality Hotels has a reputation for quality and elegance.

Unfortunately, over the years, the previous owners of the historic Sainte Claire hotel chose to go cheap and selected the lowest bidder to refinish their bathtubs. This decision resulted in failed finishes and unsightly bathtubs which were completely unacceptable to the new owners.

Removal and replacement of the classic bathroom fixtures were both unthinkable and impractical. Installed in 1926, the bathtubs would have had to be jack hammered out and would cause significant disruption to the daily operation of the hotel.

Riverside Methodist Hospital

Damaged Hospital Tub Showers

During construction of a new wing in the hospital, damage occurred to over 30 Aquabath barrier-free tub showers. The damage to these acrylic units ranged from cracks, scratches, burn marks, incorrect drilling of faucet holes and incorrect cutouts for light fixtures in the top of the units.

97 Bathtubs at Assisted Living Facility

During construction damage occurred to 97 bathtubs ranging from minor chips, cracks and scratches to major chips, holes, cracks and scratches. The construction company needed all 97 bathtubs to be repaired and refinished in one week to meet a final walk through inspection deadline.

48 bathtubs in a residence hall, refinished by another vendor failed in less than 3 years. Unhappy with the lack of durability, Ohio State Facilities management researched the refinishing process and contacted Miracle Method. They needed a finish that would last and take abuse. They also needed to have the tubs ready before students returned in 30 days.

University facility management identified 25 steel/porcelain bathtubs that were damaged, worn out, and hard to clean. Some had been previously refinished by another vender and were peeling. Some of the tubs actually had large patches of bare cast iron and rust.
